first_img Sept. 30, 2007  Box Score    PENSACOLA, Fla. – West Florida (7-2-2, 2-0-0 GSC) controled the pace of the game, allowing the visiting Harding University (5-7-0, 0-2-0 GSC) to only take three shots in the match, en route the 1-0 victory Sunday afternoon at the UWF Soccer Complex. The Argonauts have now won six straight matches outscoring their opponents 16-1 during that span.After playing to a scoreless first half draw the Argonauts knocked in the only goal of the match 12 minutes into the second half. Dernelle Mascall added to her team lead in goals when she put away a corner kick that was taken my Brandi Adams and flicked on by Jodi Galucci.West Florida has scored seven of their last eight goal in the second half or later and 13 of their 19 on the season.It is the sixth time that the Argonaut defense has kept an opponent to less than six shots in the match. For Courtney Jones it is her seventh shut out of the season and 18th of her career moving her ahead of Klara Vrbova for second in school history. Mandy Harland, who played from 1996 to 1999, holds the school record with 34.The Argonauts will now travel on a three game conference road trip beginning Sunday at Christian Bothers.
